This sequence was drastically improved from this version by the addition of a badass fight scene which I did not board. Much of this version did make it into the film however.

This was the first sequence I boarded at LAIKA.

Eventually cut from the film, this sequence was one where everyone felt the character of Eggs had been found.

These sequence was eventually cut from the film because of a complete rewrite. There used to be slave children and Dragon used to eat them, as you can see him attempt to do in this sequence.

In this sequence, Snatcher destroys the underground cavern with his giant machine and kidnaps Eggs and the boxtrolls.

In this sequence, Snatcher invades Cheesebridge with his machine and makes his demands upon Lord Portley Rind.

Here Alvin provides some comic relief amongst the dark and spooky happenings.

Kat wreaks havoc at the nun's school as she dons her punk outfit and blasts her punk rock music!

In this sequence, Father Bests is murdered and Kat escapes into the graveyard to summon her demons.
